Check this badboy out. I managed to get a hold of this from a school that was closing down in the west end of Glasgow about a year or so ago.
It’s a wee bit temperamental, and needs a bit of TLC, but sounds excellent and looks good enough to eat. I always think the logo looks like the writing on a big bar of chocolate!!

It was around 2004 and I was travelling through California and up through Oregon with my friend Vic from San Francisco. Blogging was just coming to the fore and I decided I would keep a journal of my journey and publish it every couple of days. I managed to complete a whole list of posts and to be honest, should have just kept it going. What happened next was a very eventful couple of years and there would have been lots to write about. The band went to South by Southwest, then up to San Francisco and Los Angeles, we all had a great time and took lots of photos along the way.
But I lost the need and/or the desire to write it all down somewhere along the line.
Anyway - here I am, back with a new blog for anyone who cares to listen.
I’ll post what I’m up to here and hopefully find some new musical collaborations along the way.
I did a keyboard session for Paul Whallie and Eddie Macarthur today at Stealth Studios in Glasgow, and tomororw I’m off to write with my old friend Andi Neate - from one of the Chris Difford writing retreats.
